First Finals
Today we had first final decisions. Weekly efforts resulted in medals. In the morning we have witnessed eliminations and finals at the qualification tournament for country quotas for Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Nanjing China. Gold medal in the cadet woman competition goes to Milena ZIEGLER (GER), silver to Cynthia FREYWALD (GER) and bronze to Ivana Laharnar (SLO). Girls won YOG quotas for Germany, Slovenia and Finland. In cadet men competition the medals and the Olympic quotas goes to: gold - Anton KOMAR (UKR), silver - Zhargal BATOEV (RUS), bronze - Florian FABER (SUI). In the afternoon we saw decisions in team matches. Duels were interesting, tense and scores often tied. We have seen both tears of joy and disappointment. It was busy, but beautiful and rich day. Congratulations to all medalists.
